Veteran Benefits: Free space & more

Our Garden of Pines provides all honorably discharged veterans with a free grave space or an allowance towards other memorialization for families choosing cremation. What makes our Veteran Garden of Pines unique is that a Veteran’s spouse and other family members may reserve grave spaces alongside their loved one.

By choosing our Garden of the Pines, a veteran can be buried in his/her own community providing a local opportunity for family, friends, and neighbors to pay their respects and remember a life well-lived.

The Field of Honor Garden is beautifully marked by its main feature, a bronze eagle atop a granite column seated on a five-pointed star. At each star point is an emblem for each of our country’s branches of service.  It is the only Veterans Field of Honor in St. Charles County dedicated solely to veterans and their families.

When a veteran is interred at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, his/her name is added to our Veteran’s Honor Roll located at the entrance to The Field of Honor.

We are always happy to arrange for veteran honors and benefits. You can find out more about veterans benefits at www.va.gov.

We also host the St. Louis area’s 2nd largest Memorial Remembrance Service on Memorial Day Weekend that pays honor and tribute to area veterans. It includes a roll call to the departed, special music, and is conducted by the Memorial Services Committee of Missouri. Contact us to learn more about this and other community events.
